Espresso contains antioxidants that help protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. The combination of bananas and espresso provides a natural energy boost, making this shot an excellent pick-me-up before workouts. Let's explore its recipe,
– 1 ripe banana – 1 shot of espresso (or strong brewed coffee, chilled) – 1/4 cup of almond milk (or any milk of your choice) – 1 teaspoon of honey or maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness) – Ice cubes
Peel the ripe banana and place it in a blender or food processor. Add the shot of espresso (or chilled coffee) to the blender.
Pour in the almond milk and add honey or maple syrup if desired. Blend the ingredients until smooth and creamy.
Add ice cubes to the blender and blend again until the mixture is chilled and frothy. Pour the Banana Espresso Shot into small glasses or shot glasses.
