Dosa is an Indian crepe that is served with many chutney, one being the classic kara Chutney made with roasted tomatoes and chillies. This hot chutney has our heart, and here’s a recipe you can try.

Ingredients: 

3 Onion medium size, finely chopped 3 Tomato medium size, finely chopped 5 Red chili adjust to your spice level 1 tsp Salt adjust to your taste 2 tbsp Oil 1 tsp Mustard seeds

Step 1

After heating oil in pan, add red chillies, chopped tomatoes and onions and sauté along with a pinch of salt.

Sautee till they are transparent and tomatoes are mushy. Transfer this to a bowl, let it cool. Add to mixer grinder, grind to paste.

Step 3

For tempering, take a hot oil in a pan, add mustard seeds. Let it splutter, add curry leaves and fry for 10 seconds.

Add the ground paste, and boil for 10 minutes.
