While the benefits of chickpeas are immense, it is also very important to cook them in the right way. A high-protein and fibre-rich legume, you can make several dishes with them.
For making chickpeas, it is important drain the water and dry them before cooking. Adding olive oil can bring flavour and adding baking soda can soften the chickpeas.
The classic Indian curry recipe made using chickpeas is filled with loads of masala, onions and tomatoes, simmered until the sauce thickens and served with rice.
Toss chickpeas in a pan, along with spices and ginger-garlic. Once they’ve turned flavourful, wrap in a roti and top with grated feta cheese to be served hot.
Cook chickpeas in a pan properly and chop tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and garlic. Mix well with lemon juice and olive oil. Add this to chickpeas and garnish with feta cheese.
Spread your chickpeas on a baking tray and brush olive oil, salt and pepper on them. Bake until golden-brown and crunchy.
Mash the boiled chickpeas and mix with onions, tomatoes, garlic and spices. Set them into patty-like shape and cook on a pan to be dunked in your burger buns.
