With an upcoming cricket season in the horizon, entertaining a large group of friends as they lounge around is made easy with this spicy and cheesy buffalo chicken dip.
500 grams roasted chicken ¼ cup mayonnaise 1 tablespoon buttermilk 1/3 cup sour cream 1 tablespoon minced garlic 1 tablespoon chopped chives 1 tablespoon green onions ½ cup grated cheddar cheese ½ cup hot sauce ½ cup cream cheese
Shred the cooked chicken using a fork and pluck the remains off the bone, if you’re using a bone-in chicken.
Add it to a large baking dish along with the juices and set aside.
In a mixing bowl, add the cream cheese, garlic, chives, cheddar and hot sauce and mix well to combine.
Add the mayonnaise, sour cream and buttermilk and stir again.
Transfer this mixture to the waiting chicken and stir into a homogenous mixture.
Even out the top and sprinkle more cheese on top.
Show the dip to the broiler for 2-3 minutes, until the top is a nice golden-brown.
Garnish with chopped green onions and serve with tortilla chips on the side.
