If you thought tawa is just meant for making chapatis, you’re mistaken. From a hearty pulao to a cheesy pizza, there’s so much that you can do with it.
Smoky, spicy and dry, this tawa chicken is a delectable combination of onions, tomatoes, spices and marinated chicken. Cook in water until it dries up.
Surprised much? Well, it’s pretty simple. Place the veggie and topping loaded pizza base on the tawa and cover with a lid to cook from both sides.
The smoky touch of the tawa gets infused in the fish along with grill marks. The fish is marinated and cooked from both sides until it gets dark.
Right off the streets of Mumbai, tawa pulao is a popular street food of the city. Made with veggies like beans, potatoes, tomatoes and masala, the cooked rice is stir-fried on the tawa.
A spicy paneer sabzi made with diced paneer cubes, ginger-garlic paste, onions and tomatoes, this semi-gravy dish is a must-try on the tawa.
