Taste The Royalty With Mutton Shami Kebabs

One of the most popular Mughlai snacks, shami kebabs are best enjoyed with piping hot parathas or rumali roti.

Ingredients

500 gms Mutton mince 1 egg 2 green chillies 1/2 bunch coriander leaves 1/2 bunch Mint leaves 2 onion 

Ingredients

1 Whole garlic pod  6-7 Whole red chillis 2 Bay Leaves 2 tsp Whole garam masala 200 gms Chana dal Oil for frying Salt to taste 

Soak the chana dal for an hour. In a pressure cooker, add the mutton mince and soaked chana dal.

Add the whole garam masala, whole red chillies,1 pod of peeled and crushed garlic, bay leaves, one sliced onion, salt and mix well. Cover it and and cook until the dal is tender. 

When the pressure cooker cools down open it, if any water is there dry it on a high flame. Then little at a time, put this mixture into the mixer jar and grind it to form a smooth paste. 

Take this kebab mixture, add the chopped onion, chopped green chilies, mint and coriander leaves and mix well. Then take a golf ball size portion and make small tikkis, dunk it in the beaten egg and shallow fry them. 

Serve hot with parathas, round sliced onion and green chutney.
