2 teaspoons cumin seeds 2 pieces dry red chillies 3-4 curry leaves 4 pieces garlic 2 whole black peppercorns 2 teaspoons turmeric powder 1 cup tomato puree 1 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/2 cup tamarind water Salt, as required Coriander leaves, to garnish

Fry cumin seeds, dry red chilli and curry leaves and grind the mixture along with the garlic and black peppercorns to make a paste.

Add the tomato puree in a pan, with the tamarind water, salt, turmeric powder and red chilli powder.

Boil for a minute and add the ground paste before boiling for 2-3 minutes.
