On days when you don't feel like cooking, whip up a batch of onion chutney. Serve it with puris, parathas, idlis, or dosas for a zesty, no-fuss side dish.

For chutney 250g small onions 250g onions 7-8 dried red chillies 50g tamarind 2 tbsp oil For tadka 1-2 tbsp oil ½ tsp mustard seeds ½ tsp urad dal 10-12 curry leaves Salt to taste
Chop the onions roughly. Heat oil in a pan and add the chutney ingredients. Cook them for a couple of minutes. Let it cool and then blend into a fine paste.
Heat oil in a pan add the mustard seeds, urad dal, and curry leaves and let them t pop. Add the blended paste along with the salt and keep stirring on medium heat till the chutney turns to a brown colour. Serve with idli, dosa, vada, paratha and more.
