Popular in many Middle Eastern countries, the tabbouleh has gained popularity worldwide as a healthy and delicious salad to serve alongside grilled meats, falafel or as part of a mezze platter. Tap to see the full recipe.
1 cup cooked bulgur wheat 2 cups fresh parsley, finely chopped ½ cup fresh mint, finely chopped ½ cup tomatoes, diced ½ cup cucumber, finely chopped ¼ cup red onion, finely chopped ¼ cup lemon juice ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil Salt and pepper, to taste
Combine the chopped parsley, mint, tomatoes, cucumber and red onion in a bowl, along with the cooked bulgur wheat.
Mix the lemon juice, olive oil, salt and pepper in a separate bowl.
Pour the dressing over the bulgur wheat and veggie mixture before tossing well to combine.
Refrigerate for an hour before serving chilled with grilled meats or fish.
