It is often a common practice to eat snacks while drinking alcohol. However few snacks and alcohol pairings might turn out to be disastrous. Learn which foods should be avoided while drinking.
Pairing dairy products and alcohol irritate the lining of the stomach and can result in acute stomach aches and even constipation
Eating pizza with alcohol is not a good idea. The leavening agents in the dough doesn't settle well with alcohol in the stomach and might result in stomach pain.
Foods rich in salt may result in dehydration. Dehydration will make you consume more drinks and intake excessive alcohol.
Avoid pairing wine with bean salad or curry. Beans are rich in iron and the compound called tannin present in the former hinders its absorption might result in discomfort.
Though it is refreshing, when consumed with alcohol, the acid in oranges might give rise to digestive issues and cause discomfort.
Although pakodas and fries are considered a good pairing with alcohol however, when consumed might increase pressure on the intestines.
Extra punch of red chillies when added to peanuts, might taste good, however, it often irritates the lining of the stomach, causing discomfort.
Chocolate, caffeine or cocoa when consumed with alcohol might give rise to gastro-intestinal issues and cause acidity.
