Sweet Potato Tikki For Winter

Love sipping tea in this chilly season? Pair it with healthy and tasty sweet potato tikki.

Ingredients

2 pounds sweet potatoes (cooked and peeled), ⅓ cup chopped cilantro leaves, 1 serrano pepper (minced), 1 tsp ginger-ginger paste, 2 tsp dried fenugreek leaves, 1 ½ tsp salt, 1 tsp Kashmiri chili powder, 1 tsp roasted cumin powder, ½ tsp garam masala, ¼ tsp black pepper, ghee or oil for fry

Step 1

Place the sweet potatoes and the remaining ingredients together in a bowl and mash until well combined.

Step 2

Using a medium cookie scoop, take two scoops of the mixture and form it into a ball, then flatten it into a patty. Repeat the same for remaining mixture.

Step 3

Add 4 tsp of ghee/oil to a frying pan and shallow fry the patties in batches.

Step 4

Fry the patties for 3 minutes per side, or until browned. Garnish with cilantro and serve with chutney or ketchup if desired.
