Chocolates and candies are irresistible for anyone with a sweet tooth. Well, some candies come without calories, too. Try this amla candy at home for a perfect sour-sweet combo.
1 kg amla (Indian gooseberry) 1 kg sugar Water
Wash the amla thoroughly. Boil them in water until they become soft and tender.
Peel the amla and cut them into desired shapes.
Heat sugar and water to make a sugar syrup.
Dip the cut amla pieces into the sugar syrup and let them soak for a few hours or overnight.
Remove the amla pieces from the syrup and let them dry in the sun for a few days.
Coat the amla pieces with powdered sugar.
