Summer is here, and heat wave warnings have already started making headlines. One way to beat the heat is to keep your body hydrated, and this is where sweet and salty shikanji comes into the picture. Try this recipe.
4 cups water ½ cup lemon juice ½ tsp cumin powder 5 tbsp sugar ¼ tsp salt ⅛ tsp pepper ¼ tsp amchur ¾ tsp black salt Ice cubes Mint leaves
Squeeze lemons in a jar and pour water in it.
Add sugar and stir. Keep stirring until the sugar dissolves.
Sprinkle cumin powder, pepper, amchur powder, and salt.
Stir the ingredients and refrigerate the beverage.
After a couple of hours, add ice cubes to the pitcher.
Add roughly chopped mint leaves and serve the shikanji.
