Sweet And Delicious Authentic Indori Malpua For That Evening Snack

Indori malpua is a popular dessert from Indore, India. Made with flour, milk, and sugar syrup, these sweet pancakes are crispy on the outside and soft and spongy on the inside.

Ingredients

For the Malpua Batter: 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup semolina, 1/2 cup milk powder, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp fennel seeds, 1/4 tsp cardamom powder, 1 cup milk, oil or ghee for frying, For the Sugar Syrup: 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, 1/4 tsp cardamom powder, saffron strands

Step 1

In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, semolina, milk powder, baking powder, fennel seeds, and cardamom powder.

Step 2

Now add milk accordingly to the mixture and make a smooth batter. Now in a pan heat oil.

Step 3

Now Pour a small ladleful of batter into the pan and fry until golden brown on both sides. Take the sugar syrup, combine the sugar, water, cardamom powder, and saffron in a saucepan.

Step 4

Heat and make sure everything dissolve evenly. Now dip the Malpuas in the syrup. Garnish with dry fruits and serve hot or cold!
