Swap Your Morning Chai For A Cup Of Apple-Cinnamon Tea

A soothing and refreshing drink infused with sweet apples, cinnamon and medicinal spices, the apple-cinnamon tea is the warming elixir you need to combat monsoon-related ailments. Replace your cup of chai with this lighter beverage and get supercharged for the day.

INGREDIENTS

2.5 cups water 1 apple, sliced 1 large stick cinnamon 1 teaspoon black peppercorns, crushed Juice of ½ lemon 1 teaspoon tea powder ½-inch piece ginger, crushed 1 tablespoon honey

STEP 1

Add the water along with the cinnamon, black peppercorn, tea powder and ginger to a saucepan.

STEP 2

Simmer on low heat before adding the apples and allowing it to steep for 10 minutes.

STEP 3

Strain into a cup, mix in the lemon juice and honey before serving warm.
