Recipe for idlis made with rava are a time- and effort-saving substitute for the classic variety. They're light as air, tasty, and made from semolina (rava).
Heat oil in a pan and sauté mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal, and curry leaves.
Add rava (semolina) and roast until fragrant.
In a separate bowl, mix yogurt, water, and salt. Combine with the roasted rava.
Let the mixture rest for 15 minutes.
Grease idli molds and steam the batter for 10-12 minutes.
Once cooked, remove from molds and serve hot with chutney or sambar. Enjoy the fluffy and flavorful rava idlis.
