Falooda is a cold dessert with its roots in Persia. It is a summer-special delight that offers respite from the heat, keeps the body cool, and appeals to the taste buds. This short guide will help you make it at home.
½ cup water 1.75 cups of full-fat milk ½ tbsp sabja seeds 2 tbsp rose syrup 2 tbsp jelly 1.2 cup falooda sev 2 tbsp chopped nuts 4 scoops of vanilla ice cream 3 tbsp sugar
Boil the milk and dissolve sugar in it. Once it has reduced to half of its volume, add and let it chill.
Rinse falooda seeds in a tea strainer and soak for 20 minutes. If you are using sev, soak them in boiled water.
Take large serving glasses and add the jelly.
Add sabja seeds, falooda, and rose syrup.
Pour the milk and add more jelly.
Top the glasses with ice and nuts and serve.
