Are you addicted to the spicy, tangy twists of piri piri powder? So are we! But instead of ordering it from your favourite fast food joints, why not make a big batch at home so you can enjoy it on everything!
Ingredients: 2 tsp paprika 1 tsp chilli flakes 1 tsp dried oregano 1 tsp dried thyme 1 tsp kala namak 1 tsp cinnamon powder ½ tsp green cardamom powder 1 tsp amchur 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp onion powder ½ tsp powdered sugar 1 tsp salt 1 tsp black pepper
In a small bowl, combine all the spices thoroughly.
Adjust the heat by increasing or decreasing the amount of cayenne pepper.
In a spice grinder or mortar and pestle, grind it until it turns into a fine powder.
Store the piri piri masala in an airtight container in a cool, dark place.
Use the masala as a dry rub for meats, sprinkle it over grilled vegetables, or add it to marinades and sauces for a spicy kick.
