The healthiest part of a watermelon, the rind is a white layer which is mostly thrown in the dustbin. Surprisingly, it has a very delicious taste, is one of the best sources of citrulline, and is rich in many vitamins.
It is a perfect bowl filled with fibres. You can prepare the soup with coconut milk, watermelon rind, and a hint of onion & ginger.
A Korean dish made by mixing gochuguru (chilli powder), ginger, garlic, and salt into the rind. Let it ferment for a few days, making a tangy side dish for any meal.
The cake is a blend of many flavours: a spicy taste of cinnamon and the sweetness of watermelon grind, all covered by a layer of cream cheese frosting.
A twist on classic tacos, the rind is chopped and cooked with spices, creating a crunchy filling for the taco.
A refreshing, nutritious drink made by blending the watermelon rind with yoghurt, seasonal fruits and honey. It helps in digestion and also gives your workout a boost.
