Steps To Make Restaurant-Like Handi Chicken

Handi chicken is a delicacy that we usually enjoy at restaurants and dhaaba. But it is very easy to make this dish at home too. Click to know easy steps to make the dish.

Ingredients

500 gms chicken curry cut 1 cup curd 1 tsp turmeric powder Salt to taste 2 tbsp garam masala 5-6 green chillies 3-4 red chillies 1 tsp fenugreek seeds 1 tsp cumin powder 1 tsp coriander powder 1 tsp turmeric powder 2 medium sliced onion 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste

Step 1

Marinate the chicken with salt, turmeric and curd and keep it aside.

Step 2

In a pan, heat up mustard oil and add fenugreek seeds and red chillies. Next, add sliced onions.

Step 3

When the onions get golden brown, add the ginger-garlic paste. Let it turn light brown.

Step 4

Next, add the powdered spices. Cook for 5-6 minutes and add the marinated chicken. Cover the lid and cook on medium heat for 20-25 minutes.

Step 5

Open the lid and check if the chicken is tender. Serve with hot parathas.
