Perfectly crisp on the outside and cheesy goodness on the inside, a well-made grilled cheese sandwich is a thing of beauty.
You'll need 2 slices of bread, 2 slices of cheddar cheese, and 1 tbsp unsalted butter.
Place a skillet on medium heat. Butter a side of the sliced bread and put it down to toast.
Add the cheese slices on top.

Apply butter on the other bread and add it on top of the cheese, with the buttered side facing up.

Once the bread underneath is sufficiently browned, flip it over, and let the other slice of bread get toasted as well.

Cook the sandwich until the cheese has melted and both the bread slices are toasted on the outside.

Cut the sandwich diagonally and serve hot.
