Steps To Make Dhaba Style Dal Tadka At Home

Do you want to make your regular dal as delicious as the ones at dhaba? Trust us, it is super easy. Here is a simple recipe for you to follow.

Ingredients

1 cup split toor dal 1 small onion, finely chopped 2 tomatoes, finely chopped 2 cloves of garlic, minced 1-inch piece of ginger, grated 1 green chili 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon red chili powder 1 teaspoon garam masala Salt to taste Chopped coriander leaves 2 tablespoons ghee

Step 1

In a pressure cooker, add dal, salt and haldi and pressure cook for 4 whistles on a medium flame.

Step 2

In a kadhai, heat up ghee and add chopped onions, tomatoes, garlic., ginger and chilli. Cook till the raw smell goes.

Step 3

Add all the spices and cook for 5 minutes on low flame. Then add the boiled dal.

Step 4

Let the dal simmer for 5 more minutes. Garnish with dhaniya leaves and serve with rice or roti.
