The fun of cutting into a lava cake and letting the chocolate gush out never gets old. A must-have on any menu card, here's how to make this dessert at home.

You'll need, 130 gm dark chocolate, 1/2 cup refined flour, 2 tbsp cocoa powder, 5 tbsp powdered sugar, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 9 tbsp unsalted butter, and 4 eggs.

Put the dark chocolate pieces and the butter in a bowl and melt them in the microwave.

In a mixing bowl, crack in the eggs and add powdered sugar to it. Whisk them till light and frothy.

Slowly add the melted chocolate and butter to the egg mixture, whisking constantly.

Sift in the cocoa powder, refined flour, and baking powder into the melted chocolate and egg mixture and mix till smooth.

Butter 4 ramekin moulds and dust them with flour. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

Pour the cake batter up to halfway through the ramekins.

Bake them for 7-8 minutes.

Upon baking, pry the cakes out from their ramekins mould by running a butter knife through the sides.
