Po Cha or Tibetan butter tea is a unique hot concoction that is consumed in the Ladakh region. However, if you know its recipe, you can make it at home. This step-by-step guide will help you prepare this delight and serve your guests.
2 tsp black tea 4 cups water 2 tbsp butter ¼ tsp salt ⅓-½ cup milk
Add water to a vessel and bring it to a boil.
Add loose-leaf tea to hot water and let it steep for a few minutes.
Add salt now and let the ingredients simmer for a short while.
Strain the tea and add milk or milk powder to the concoction.
After turning off the stove, add the butter to the beverage and stir it.
As the butter melts, you will witness the concoction turning creamy. Tea is ready to be served.
