Dal kachori is a deep-fried savoury delight you can make a part of the Holi spread. It is fulfilling and goes well with aloo sabzi and chutney. This is an easy guide for you to add a crunch and deliciousness to the festive spread.
For Dough ¼ cup ghee Oil for frying 2 cups of maida ½ cup water ½ tsp salt For Lentil Filling ½ tbsp ghee ½ cup moong dal ½ tsp red chilli powder ½ tsp ginger powder ½ tsp cumin Salt as needed 1 tsp crushed fennel 1 tsp coriander 1 tsp amchur powder ¼ tsp turmeric
Sprinkle salt over maida and knead a soft dough using water and a little bit of ghee.
While the dough rests, coarsely grind soaked moong dal.
In a saucepan, heat ghee and roast spices powder.
Cook lentil paste and let it cool off.
Stuff small dough balls with dal mixture and roll them.
Deep-fry kachoris and serve them along with other Holi delicacies.
