Making a good bowl of ghee rice requires cooked rice, which is steamed to perfection, and an accurate amount of ghee to taste flawless. Here is a step-by-step guide to making a perfect bowl of ghee rice.
1 cup basmati rice 2 cups water 1 tablespoon ghee 1 bay leaf 1 cardamom pod 1 clove Salt to taste
In a pot, heat the ghee over medium heat.
Add the bay leaf, cardamom pod, and clove to the ghee. Let them sizzle for a few seconds.
Add the washed rice to the pot and stir to coat with the ghee and spices.
Pour the water and boil. Simmer for 15-20 minutes.
Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
