Step By Step Guide On How To Make Chana Dal Kulcha

Kulche are much loved in many parts of North India like Punjab and Delhi. They are enjoyed with chhole and raita. Click to get a simple step by step guide to make delicious chana dal kulche.

Ingredients

1 cup chana dal 1 tsp cumin seeds 1 tsp coriander seeds 1 tsp fennel seeds 1 tsp red chili powder 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder Salt to taste  Oil 2 tbsp dhaniya chopped 2 cups maida 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 cup dahi 1/4 cup warm milk

Step 1

For the filling, boil chana dal and then mix all the powdered spices to it, along with salt and keep it aside.

Step 2

Take maida, baking soda and powder, salt, oil, dahi and milk and make a stretchy dough.

Step 3

Make balls out of the dough and insert the chana dal filling. Sprinkle chopped dhaniya and roll it thick and flat into a kulcha.

Step 4

Heat oil in a tawa and cook till the kulcha is cooked on both sides. Serve with chhole and raita!
