Sprout salad is a nutritious, versatile addition to any meal, packed with protein, fibre, and vitamins. With fresh vegetables, tangy spices, and a hint of lemon, it’s both refreshing and satisfying. This light, flavourful salad complements any main course or makes a perfect snack.
1 cup mixed sprouts (moong, chana, or any sprout of choice) 1 cucumber 1 tomato 1 onion 1 carrot 1 green chilli
1-2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves 1/2 tsp chaat masala 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder Juice of 1/2 lemon 1/2 tsp olive oil Salt
Rinse the sprouts and blanch them in boiling water for 2-3 minutes for a softer texture, or use them raw for extra crunch.
In a mixing bowl, add the sprouts, cucumber, tomato, onion, carrot, green chili, and coriander leaves.
Sprinkle chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, and salt. Drizzle with lemon juice and a bit of oil, if desired, for extra flavour.
Gently toss everything until well combined. Adjust seasonings to taste.
Enjoy the sprout salad immediately as a healthy snack or appetiser.
