Spicy Prawn Buns: Bite-Sized Snack For Tea Time

The fiery masala coated prawns stuffed into soft, cloud-like buns is the ultimate treat to snack on when you want something savoury but light to go with your cup of tea.

INGREDIENTS

250 grams prawns, cleaned 1 small onion, chopped ½ tomato, chopped 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste 1 teaspoon red chilli powder 1 teaspoon turmeric powder ½ teaspoon cumin powder 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 2 tablespoons coconut milk Salt and pepper, to taste 4 hot dog buns

METHOD

Heat the oil in a pan and add the chopped onion to saute for a couple of minutes.

Add the ginger-garlic paste, followed by the tomatoes and cook until the mixture is mushy.

Add the spice powders, followed by salt and pepper to season before you tip in the prawns.

Once cooked, add the coconut milk right at the end and squeeze some lemon juice, if you like.

Spoon the mixture into buttered and toasted hot dog buns and serve hot.
