Matar Mushroom is a popular Indian dish made with green peas and mushrooms in a spicy onion-tomato gravy.
1 cup fresh or frozen green peas 1 cup sliced mushrooms 1 large onion, finely chopped 2-3 medium-sized tomatoes, finely chopped 2 tablespoons oil 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste 1 teaspoon red chili powder 1 teaspoon garam masala powder Salt, to taste Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
In a pan heat oil, Add cumin seeds and let them crackle for a few seconds. Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
Add ginger-garlic paste, chopped tomatoes, salt, red chili powder, and garam masala powder.
Mix all well and cook until the tomatoes are soft and mushy. Add sliced mushrooms and green peas to the pan.
Now Mix well and add 1/2 cup water.Cover the pan cook until they are soft.
Now pour it in a bowl Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
