Homemade Schezwan chutney is a fiery, flavour-packed condiment that can instantly elevate your meals. With just a few ingredients, you can create this spicy chutney right in your kitchen.
Soak 20-25 dried red chillies in hot water for 30 minutes. Drain and blend into a paste.
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan. Add 2 tbsp finely chopped garlic and 1 tbsp finely chopped ginger. Sauté until fragrant.
Add the chilli paste to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add 1 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp vinegar, 1 tbsp sugar, and salt to taste. Stir well and cook for another 5 minutes. Let it cool and store in an airtight jar.
