The delectable vegetarian dish Bhindi masala, commonly referred to as bhindi masala, is created from bhindi , onions, tomatoes, and spices.
500g okra, washed and dried 1 large onion, finely chopped 2 medium tomatoes, finely chopped 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste 1 green chili, finely chopped (optional) 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 teaspoon coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder 1/2 teaspoon garam masala Salt to taste 2 tablespoons oil Chopped fresh coriander leaves for garnishing
Remove the ends from the Bhindi and chop it into small pieces. Put them apart. Warm up some oil in a pan.
Add the seeds of cumin. Add the chopped onions and cook them till golden brown. Add green chilli and ginger-garlic paste.
Stir in the diced tomatoes. Combine Salt, garam masala, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and coriander powder.
Combine thoroughly and simmer for 2–3 minutes. Combine the tomato-onion mixture with the chopped bhindi
Cover the pan and cook okra for 10 to 15 minutes on medium heat.
Turn off the heat and add chopped coriander leaves as a garnish. Serve hot alongside rice or roti.
