A tangy, comforting South Indian soup, Tomato Rasam is perfect for rainy days. Here's how you can make it with ease.
Tomatoes, tamarind, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, black pepper, curry leaves, garlic, turmeric, and coriander leaves.
Soak tamarind in warm water and extract the juice.
Boil tomatoes until soft, then blend into a smooth puree.
In hot oil, temper mustard seeds, cumin seeds, black pepper, and curry leaves.
Add tomato puree, tamarind juice, turmeric, and salt, then simmer for 10 minutes.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or as a soup.
