A burst of flavour with the creaminess of peanuts. This Maharashtrian speciality is loved for its diverse uses and bold flavours. Make some at home to amp up every meal.
1 cup peanuts 1 tbsp desiccated coconut 3-4 garlic cloves 1 tbsp red chilli powder 1 tsp cumin seeds Salt to taste
Dry roast the peanuts and coconut until slightly browned.
Add some oil to the pan and add the cumin. Cook till they start to splutter then add the garlic, peanuts and coconut.
Saute the mixture until the garlic starts to soften. Turn off the heat and then add the chilli powder and salt.
Then grind all the ingredients into a paste. Store in an airtight jar for up to 3 months.
