Egg Dosa is a South Indian version of the classic dosa with a spicy egg layer cooked right into the dosa. It is a filling and protein-rich breakfast or anytime option. Here is how to make this spicy egg dosa at home:
1 cup dosa batter 2 eggs 1 onion 1 green chilli 1 tbsp coriander leaves ¼ tsp red chilli powder ¼ tsp black pepper powder Salt to taste 1 tbsp oil or ghee
Whisk the dosa batter, and add salt if needed. Keep aside.
In a bowl, break 2 eggs, add chopped onion, green chilli, coriander, red chilli powder, black pepper and a pinch of salt. Beat well.
Heat a non-stick dosa tawa (griddle) over medium flame. Add a few drops of oil and spread it evenly.
Pour 1 ladle of dosa batter onto the tawa and spread it thinly in a circular motion.
Pour the egg mixture over the dosa and spread it evenly. Cook until the egg is set, and the dosa is crispy.
Flip the dosa and cook for 1-2 minutes. Serve hot with coconut chutney or tomato chutney.
