Have you ever tried a South Indian red chutney with onion and garlic? It seems like a perfect condiment to serve with South Indian, North Indian, and various other snacks. If you are craving, here is how to make it at home.
½ cup peeled garlic 1 cup small onions 2-inch of tamarind 6-8 red chillies 1 tsp urad dal 3 Kashmiri red chillies Salt as required 1 tbsp sesame oil 8-10 curry leaves 3 tsp oil ½ tsp mustard seeds
In 3 tsp oil, saute red chillies and tamarind.
Once chillies are done, add onions to the recipe to add a hint of sweetness.
To the same pan, add garlic and saute some more until garlic and onion turn brown.
Add salt on the top and switch off the flame after two minutes.
Once the ingredients have cooled off, grind them into a thick paste.
Top the chutney with tampering of sesame oil, mustard seeds, urad dal, and curry leaves.
