South Indian dishes like idli, dosa, and upma are considered to be one of the healthiest breakfast options. To make yourself a nutritious breakfast, you must try this recipe of rava upma.
1 cup suji 3 cups water 1/2 tablespoon ghee 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds 1 teaspoon urad dal 1 teaspoon chana dal 10-12 cashew nuts 1 onion 1 green chilli 1 teaspoon grated ginger 8-10 curry leaves Salt to taste Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
Dry roast the suji for about three to four minutes and set it aside.
Take some ghee, add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add urad dal and chana dal and fry.
Add chopped cashew nuts, curry leaves, green chilli, and grated ginger and saute them.
Mix in chopped onions. Add water and salt and stir till the suji absorbs water.
Once the rava upma is of the desired consistency, garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
