South Indian Neer Moru To Cool Off In The Summer

Hydration is one of the most important aspects when temperatures are high during the summers. Aside from lemonade and aam panna, enjoy sipping on a delicious glass of this neer moru or tempered buttermilk after a meal.

INGREDIENTS

4 tablespoons yoghurt 1.5 cups water 1 teaspoon vegetable oil ¼ teaspoon mustard seeds 3-4 curry leaves 1 pinch asafoetida Salt, to taste

STEP 1

Combine the yoghurt, salt and water in a bowl and whisk well to combine.

STEP 2

Heat the oil in a pan and temper the mustard seeds, curry leaves and asafoetida.

STEP 3

Pour the tempering into the buttermilk mixture and refrigerate for an hour. Serve chilled.
