Spices, curry leaves, and mustard seeds are mixed with the sourness of buttermilk to make buttermilk chutney, a classic South Indian condiment. It adds to the flavour of traditional South Indian meals and makes them more enjoyable.

2 tbsp Channa Dal, soaked in water for 2 hours 300 ml Buttermilk 1 Green chillies 5 Curry leaves 8 Shallots 1 tsp Mustard seeds 1 tsp Urad dal 2 tsp Oil Salt as per taste
Grind soaked channa dal, green chilli, curry leaves, and shallots into a coarse paste.
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and urad dal. Once they splutter, add the ground paste. Sauté until golden brown and fragrant.
Allow it to cool, then mix with buttermilk. Season with salt and serve this delightful buttermilk chutney as a refreshing accompaniment to your meals.
