Ganache is a luscious blend of chocolate and cream, perfect for topping cakes, filling pastries, or creating truffles. This easy recipe will guide you through making smooth, velvety ganache at home.
Use equal parts heavy cream and chopped chocolate. For a basic ganache, 1 cup of each works well.
In a saucepan, warm the cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer—do not let it boil.
Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate in a bowl.Let it sit for a minute, then stir gently until the mixture is glossy and smooth.
Allow it to cool slightly for a thicker consistency or use warm for a smooth pour.
