If you’re looking for a winter cocktail, add bourbon as the base. With the grainy and earthy taste, it serves as a great cocktail base for martinis and more.
It is said that the bourbon martini saved the bourbon industry. This mix of sweet vermouth, aromatic bitter and ice is basically a Manhattan with bourbon for chilly weather.
Prepare a bourbon-mint mixture and leave it overnight. Then add it to your cocktail glass the next day along with crushed ice and garnish with mint leaves.
Take bourbon, simple syrup, water and sugar and bring to a boil. Add some bitters and squeeze an orange on the glass rim. Pour the concoction and garnish with orange peel.
Add bourbon to ice in a shaker. Then add some apple cider and a dab of orange for citrus. Strain the foamy mix in a glass and finish with grated cinnamon and nutmeg.
With a low ABV, this drink is a delicious combo of citrusy lime juice, pineapple juice and bourbon. No added sweeteners are required for the same.
