Also known as karupatti, this herbal beverage is a staple during the seasonal change due to its healing properties courtesy of the many spices used. Swap your usual cup of coffee with this version to stay healthy and immune.

INGREDIENTS

1 teaspoon dry ginger powder ½ teaspoon black peppercorns, crushed ½ teaspoon cumin seeds Jaggery powder, to taste 5-6 tulsi leaves 1 teaspoon coffee powder

STEP 1

Add all the ingredients except the coffee powder to the pan along with some water.

STEP 2

Simmer for 10 minutes before adding in the coffee and stirring to combine.

STEP 3

Strain and serve hot, along with some biscuits.
