Spiked with bourbon whiskey and infused with spices, this warm cocktail has many medicinal and healing properties that are ideal for the changing season. Skip the bourbon if you’re making a non-alcoholic version to enjoy on a daily basis.
1 cup water 3-4 cloves 1 slice lemon 2 teaspoons brown sugar Juice of ½ lemon 60 ml whiskey
Bring the water to a boil before turning off the stove and adding in the cloves and lemon slice.
Allow it to sit for 5 minutes before straining into a cup and adding the remaining ingredients.
Stir well to combine and drink when still warm.
