A wonderful recipe shared by Saloni Kukreja on her social media is making us drool. Singar ji mithai or sev barfi is one of the best desserts that you have to taste. Here is the recipe she shared.
4 cups Unsalted sev 1 cup milk 3/4th cup Sugar 1 cup Khoya- divided 1 Tbsps ghee 1/2 tsp Cardamom 2 tsp Rose water Pinch of saffron Almonds, Pistachios, Rose petals & silver varq to garnish
Saute the mawa in ghee for a couple minutes. Add in milk and sugar and cook on low flame till both dissolve. Bring the mixture to a boil.
Simmer the flame and add in saffron and cardamom powder. Add the sev and cook for 2-3 min.
Turn the heat off and add the rest of the mawa and rose water and let it sit until it thickens. This should take 1/2 hour.
Grease a thali with ghee and spread the mithai & garnish with nuts & silver foil. Let it set & cut into squares.
