One of the delicious Sindhi delights is dal pakwan. It is a hassle-free recipe that results in a soulful meal that will leave you satiated. Follow this guide to prepare this delicacy even when guests are coming over.
1 small pumpkin Olive oil Salt and pepper to taste 1 cup breadcrumbs 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon dried oregano 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 2 large eggs Ketchup or your favourite dipping sauce
For Pulses 2 cups maida Oil for deep-frying 2 tbsp oil for kneading 1 tbsp curd ½ tsp cumin seeds ½ tsp red chilli powder ½ tsp ajwain seeds Water as needed
Soak chana dal and moong dal for 3-4 hours and boil them with turmeric powder and salt to taste.
Add spices to maida and knead with water and curd. Keep it aside.
Add cumin seeds to hot ghee and saute spices and curry leaves. Add chopped onion.
Once the onion is translucent, add tomatoes and salt. As tomatoes turn mushy, pour dal into the pan and wait for it to boil and thicken.
Roll dough into thin discs and make three cuts in the middle with a knife. Deep-fry them until crispy.
