Made with whole wheat flour and gram flour, studded with chopped onions, green chillies and flecks of fresh coriander, this classic Sindhi flatbread makes for a great breakfast or packed lunch.

1 cup whole wheat flour ½ cup besan 2 tablespoons ghee 2 onions, finely chopped 2 green chillies, chopped ¼ cup fresh coriander, chopped 1 tablespoon kasuri methi 1 teaspoon red chilli powder 1 teaspoon pomegranate seeds 1 teaspoon cumin seeds Salt, to taste

Combine all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl and knead gently as it is to mix thoroughly.

Add water gradually if needed, to form a firm dough and rest for 15-20 minutes.

Divide into 4-5 large balls and roll out into thick flatbreads, with a dusting of some whole wheat flour.

Cook on a hot pan for 3-4 minutes per side, until it develops a nice crust.

Smear with some ghee or butter and serve hot with some pickle, yoghurt or eat as it is.
