Separating egg yolks from egg whites can seem tricky, but with the right technique, it’s a breeze. Here’s how to do it effortlessly, whether you’re baking or cooking.
Gently tap the egg on a flat surface to avoid shattering the shell. Hold the egg over a bowl.
Carefully split the egg in half, holding each half upright.
Transfer the yolk back and forth between the shell halves, allowing the egg white to fall into the bowl below.
Once the whites have separated, place the yolk in a different bowl. Alternatively, you can use a separator tool or even your hands to separate the yolk from the white.
