Simple Khakhra Recipe Using Leftover Chapati

Looking to give leftover rotis a delicious twist? Homemade khakhras are the perfect solution! Crispy, savoury, and incredibly easy to make, these light snacks are great with tea or as a guilt-free munch any time of day. 

Step 1

Start with leftover rotis, a drizzle of oil or ghee, and spices like chaat masala, salt, and chili powder for flavour. 

Step 2

Place a leftover roti on a hot, non-stick tawa over low heat. 

Step 3

Press the roti with a cloth or spatula to ensure it crisps up evenly. Flip it over and repeat. 

Step 4

Sprinkle your spices of choice on both sides. Continue pressing and flipping until it’s crispy and golden. 

Step 5

Let the khakhras cool completely for extra crunch. Store in an airtight container.
