No Indian dinner is complete without a side of bread. But naan can be notoriously fiddly and time consuming to make. This simplified recipe will give you a delightfully soft and fluffy naan in no time at all.
1 ¾ cups of self-rising flour 1 cup of Greek yoghourt ½ teaspoon of optional salt
In a spacious mixing bowl, thoroughly blend the self-rising flour with the Greek yoghurt until a cohesive dough forms. Use your hands to combine the flour and yoghurt, shaping them into a dough ball.
Sprinkle a wooden or kitchen surface with a light dusting of flour. Place the dough ball on the floured surface and press it into a circular shape. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions.
Reapply a touch of flour to the surface, and select one portion of the dough. Utilise a rolling pin to flatten it into a circular shape. Repeat this process until you have 8 uncooked flatbreads.
Preheat a large non-stick pan over medium heat. Once hot, place one flatbread on the heated surface and cook for 2-3 minutes before flipping it and cooking for an additional two minutes.
