Sheer kurma is a traditional delicacy prepared during Eid and Ramadan. For those who don’t know, it is seviyan ki kheer or meethi sevaiyan. Garnished with saffron and dry fruits, it is one of the best delicacies you should savour in this festive season.
10 cashews 10-12 pistachios 10 almonds 6-7 dates 2 tbsp ghee 1 cup vermicelli 1.5 tsp rose water ½ tsp cardamom 4 tbsp sugar 1 litre milk 10 raisins A few strands of saffron
Take a heavy bottom pan and heat milk in it.
In a saucepan, heat ghee and saute dates, cashews, and other dry fruits.
Keep dry fruits aside and saute seviyan until they are golden brown.
When the milk comes to a boil, add vermicelli to it.
Add sugar and stir the ingredients well.
Add roasted and chopped nuts and saffron. Serve and enjoy.
